Биографија

Born on 19.10.1960 in Kruševo, Macedonia. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology in Skopje in 1984. He received his master's degree from the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Skopje in 1993, and his doctorate from the same faculty in 2000. The topics of his master's and doctoral theses are in the field of systematics and phylogeny of higher plants.In 1987, he was employed as a trainee-assistant at the Institute of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, engaged in practical teaching in the field of plant systematics for students at the Institute of Biology, botany for students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and basics of biodiversity for students at the Institute of Environmental Sciences. He was elected to the title of assistant professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences in 2000, associate professor in 2005, and full professor in 2009. In the past period, he has participated in the implementation of teaching at the Institute of Biology, in the following subjects: Cormophyta (ecological direction), Plant Systematics (molecular direction, dual studies Biology-Chemistry), Phytogeography with Phytocoenology (teaching direction), Phytocoenology with Vegetation of Macedonia (ecological direction), Biogeography (ecological direction), Botany (ecological direction), Anatomy and Morphology of Plants (teaching direction). In the period from 2000-2010, he was engaged to teach the subject Botany at the Faculty of Forestry. In the past period, he has published over 60 papers in the field of systematics and phylogeny of higher plants, floristics and phytocoenology and three monographs, in which, among other things, four new species for science are described, as well as a large number of phytocoenological syntaxons. He participates in a large number of scientific projects in the areas in which he researches, as well as applied projects related to the protection of biodiversity in Macedonia
